Boso
Known Aliases: None
Rank: Trainee
Alignment: Freedom Fighters
Gender: Male
Age: 1
Personality: Boso is a proud fawn; he is often self-conscious in regards to how he looks in front of others. He regularly dismisses things, activities and certain mannerisms considered to be juvenile, though this is at times merely a front to appear "better" than Geno.
Though Boso is a lot like Ronno, Boso is no coward. If his family or friends are in danger, he'll be among the first to take a stand.
Backstory:
Boso was born in Böhmerwald/the Bohemian Forest and is the son of Ronno and Rolla and the twin brother of Lana. Rolla said that Ronno died by the thunderstick before he and Lana were born.
One day, a wolf-dog ambuscaded Rolla. While trying to evade him, Rolla accidentally lured her pursuer to where Faline, Geno and Gurri were hiding. The wolf-dog immediately turned his attention to Geno and chased him instead. When Faline got word of Geno's disappearance, she accused Rolla of "sacrificing" her son.
Bambi saved Geno from Nero, but Faline was still angry with Rolla. Geno and Gurri defended Rolla, pointing out that she did not mean to lure the wolf-dog to Geno. They also wanted to see if Rolla was ok, and Faline reluctantly took them to see her. When they met up with Rolla and her fawns, Boso began to antagonize Geno and chastised Faline for not letting him know his mother had been injured. Gurri admitted that they should have sent a messenger, but Faline refused to admit she had been wrong out of pride.
The next day, Geno and Gurri found two orphaned fawns named Membo and Nello, whose parents had been killed by a He. Faline thought that if she was very kind to them she would not have to reproach herself any longer for her injustice to Rolla. So she adopted them. Her selfish motive behind her adoption of Membo and Nello quickly passed, and she grew to love them as if they were her own. Gurri and Geno got along with Membo and Nello so well that they forgot all about Rolla, Boso and Lana.
Bambi eventually came to see Faline and their fawns. After Faline introduced Membo and Nello, Bambi asked how they got along with Lana and Boso. Silence fell upon them all. None of them knew how to answer. Bambi demanded to know what was going on, and Faline told him of Rolla's escape from the wolf-dog and Geno's subsequent peril. Bambi told Faline and Geno that they had treated Rolla badly and said they must apologize to them.
But Boso and Geno had to settle things their own way. Boso challenged Geno to a fight, and the latter refused. But Geno ultimately relented when Boso began to spread rumors about him being a coward. So he fought Boso and defeated him. He offered Boso a truce, but Boso turned away out of shame.
Boso was then shot by a boy hunter, but before the boy could kill him, he escaped. He ran into Bambi, and Bambi passed down the same technique that his father, the Great Prince, told him to use when he got wounded, and he survived.
The two families ended their feud and became friends again.

Notes:
* Boso is a character from Bambi's Children, the sequel to Bambi, a Life in the Woods. He is Geno's on-and-off rival.
* Boso's appearance in Conquest is based on his appearance in the French Disney book Les Enfants de Bambi and the Disney comic by Dell.
* Rolla is related to Geno, Gurri and Ferto and her children, Boso and Lana, are said to be their cousins. How she's related to Bambi's children is unclear. Geno and Gurri called her "Aunt Rolla", but Bambi called his mother's cousin "Aunt Ena" when he was a fawn, and Faline and Rolla do not share the same mother, so she can't be Faline's full sister. The same goes for Bambi because his mother said that Bambi was her first fawn (and in hindsight, her last). For all we know, Rolla could be either parent's cousin like Ena was to Bambi's mother. And that's just assuming Felix Salten meant "cousin" as in the child of one's uncle or aunt as opposed to a person belonging to the same extended family.
( ̄  ̄|||) My head hurts...
tl;dr: Boso is related to Bambi's family, but the author never specified how.
* Ferto is Bambi and Faline's son, and Geno and Gurri's younger brother. He was born at the end of Bambi's Children. His segment was cut out of the English version of the book, but Faline is still shown walking towards him at the end, and in some versions, there's a picture of him.
