Personality: Arrogant, pushy, and brilliant, Basil of Baker Street is a mouse with a mission. He aims to stop crime in all its forms through the use of his brilliant mind, and he even arguably enjoys such pursuits given the mental exercise it gives him (he utterly loathes boredom). Despite his abrasive personality, he is utterly devoted to justice and righting wrongs, and he can be self-aware about his faults and work to correct them.
Backstory: Born and raised in London, and given access to the finest education money could buy, Basil Brett saw corruption and crime all around him. Rich, poor, it didn't matter-crime was a rampant disease. After graduating from Oxford and a brief stint at Scotland Yard (where he grew frustrated at the bureaucracy gumming up the works of good investigations), he opened up shop as a private/consulting detective.
Over the years, he grew a sterling reputation....and many enemies, one Professor Ratigan among them. They clashed on several memorable occasions, but it was only after getting caught up in an adventure with Dr. David Q. Dawson and one young Olivia Flaversham that he was finally able to expose and best the fiend in a climactic duel on Big Ben.
Dawson joined him as a resident at Baker Street, and they entered a wonderful partnership over the years. However, Basil eventually heard of a war brewing. Some "Jafar" fellow was gathering forces to conquer the world! This had to be dealt with. Leaving the good doctor behind to continue his practice (he had grown into a wonderful detective of his own under Basil's tutelage), he made his way to Africa, where the Freedom Fighters were said to live, and offered his services as Council to Simba, the lion king of the Pride Lands.......
