Personality: Rapunzel is a spirited girl who finds joy in all that life has to offer. She is a dreamer and indefatigable optimist at heart. A girl capable of finding the silver lining to every cloud no matter how stormy the skies can be.
The fact that she can maintain such optimism and cheerfulness is an impressive feat in the face of her sheltered and abusive upbringing at the hands of her kidnapper Gothel. Due to this manipulation and emotional abuse Rapunzel suffers from anxiety and low self-esteem.
She is also quite naive as she had spent almost her entire life locked away from the world, giving her a complete lack of social experience. In spite of this Rapunzel is still willing to step outside of her comfort zone and chase her dreams. She is also clever and capable of adapting the situation.
Backstory: Rapunzel is the princess of Corona, born to King Frederick and Queen Arianna. She had been kidnapped as a baby by a woman named Gothel for the magical power of her golden hair. Gothel had raised Rapunzel for 18 years until she escaped with the help of a thief named Flynn Rider. Her magical golden hair had been lost in the conflict of her escape, but she had returned to her birth family.
Rapunzel had a lot to learn about the strangers who were her parents, and the responsibilities of being the princess of a kingdom. She was often overwhelmed by all the new experiences in her life, but she did not regret leaving her tower and wouldn't trade in her new life for anything. To complicate matters further Rapunzel discovered that her magical abilities given to her by the magic flower hadn't completely disappeared.
Two years after her return, the war between the Blackbloods, Freedom Fighters, Rogues, and Outsiders broke out. The kingdom of Corona join the Freedom Fighters in the effort. Rapunzel spends her time learning to channel her healing powers to help the injured soldiers of the war.
