July 5th (Main focus is to build relations/friendships for Perthmail. All ranks welcome if interested in doing so.)
The sound of water gracing across the shoreline was something Perthmail had been craving ever since he left his 'home', which was now galaxies maybe even universes away. Icy cold hues watched the way the waves drew in and then out, as if it were breathing then again it basically was, wasn't it?
A small grin seemed to play on his lips as he watched the familiar sight, feeling himself be eased into a state of calmness he hadn't felt in a while. He couldn't help but wonder how deep this world's oceans were, how far they went and what life existed beneath it. He would of spend his time exploring it if he could but he doubted the chain of command would take so kindly to such a thing. The demon mage shook his head, pushing the thought away from his mind before moving close to the waters. Setting his foot in the thinned waves that licked the sand with every push and pull, letting the motion of the waters relax him for a moment more before proceeding on his more immediate thought. He shifted the way he stood, and lifted his arms slowly paying attention to the way his magical aura pulled in his body.
The movement of the water seemed to shift and change around him, following the movement of his arms. His movements were almost soft but fluid, the water seeming to bend and wave along with him. Some water parting from the sea and keeping in a near 'bubble' between the mage's arms as he moved. Perthmail's entire focus was on what he was doing, using this quiet time to warm up on rusty skills but the moment there was the sound of movement near him his focus broke. He ceased in his practice, quickly moving his body to turn and launching the 'bubble' of water towards the noise like a weapon. Luckily for whoever would be hit by it, the hit wouldn't be too hard. At least this time.
"I suggest next time you announce your presence, unless you wish harm to come to you."

Tabs had a job to do. Always.
If he wanted to be comfortable, or even functional, he needed the attention of his viewers and readers. His story wasn’t due until he had been on the planet for a week, but now he felt it was a good idea to start compiling notes. Though his background was in advanced technology, Tabs preferred the feel of good old pen and paper. Besides, his inhuman typing speed of 500 words per minute tended to destroy any keyboard he came into contact with. But such speed meant nothing if the words did not flow. Not even an expert craftsman can make his masterpiece without a few drafts.
The creature was ungainly when he walked, having three legs forced him to move by lolloping. He had a notepad and a pen with him. He twirled the pen in his claws rapidly. He didn’t have anything substantial written yet. When he had writer’s block, one of his favorite solutions was to venture into unexplored territory. If he was lucky, he’d be able to relax.
Tabs was almost entirely focused on how he would build the most hype for his first installment of the Earth stories he’d yet to properly title. Clumsy as he was, he was well practiced at getting out of the way when it suited him. His hooves threw up some sand as he bolted and his writing implements were abandoned. It wasn’t particularly graceful, but Tabs saved himself; most of himself anyway: his arm was wet now.
The red of the creature’s eyes grew more intense and he straightened his legs to become taller. Half the time, his freakish appearance was sufficient enough that he not be bothered. The posturing was interrupted as he whipped his arm several times to try and dry off his sleeve.
“I don’t suppose I strike you as a monster that handles being hurt very well?”

Immersed by columns of light, the waves' crystal-silver crests sparkled like pulverized diamonds. Antithetically, grass, twigs, pebbles, dirt and bugs bobbled in the murky troughs to and fro, mimicking the waves' rhythm. They caused a rocky gurgling as waves met stone; a swish, a clunk, a swell and a clop. The ocean was gin clear beyond the tide line, and the unfathomable mantle of a luminol-blue sky was embroidered with silver at the horizon.
Suddenly, the turbulent skies turned a ruinous, gunpowder-black. The sky was stirring itself into a frenzy, with pockets of grey and black clouds colliding. Incandescent lightning flashed and flamed the mamba-back sky. It whimpered and wriggled like a whip-lash flicked across a horse's neck. The ecclesiastical silence was blasted apart by the pealing and yowling thunder. The aftershock hummed in the wind long after it had died. The sea had been placid until then. Then the lightning slashed down, and the ocean began to boil. Deep below the surface, swollen to its compact depths, the voluminous bowels of the sea were agitated. Rock dashed sand teemed as the sea hissed, wailed, scrubbed and lashed pebbles before sloshing back like a kicked dog. It seemed the sea was its own master, kindling its own symphony. The wind served a different master and whipped it into a frenzy. The sea's underbelly heaved up, causing colossal waves to rise and crash down upon each other. They lurched across in a mighty leap, dragging their foamy swells with them. The breakers cascaded toward land, and the feral sea once again walloped its brutal waves against the shore, no doubt drenching those who had come to marvel. The water bubbled. Shaking, throbbing to its malevolent beat, its angry soul stirred. Suddenly, rip-tide rolls heaved as the sea foamed, crashed, pounded and bashed the coast before sloshing back. It foamed and frothed, plunging down hard and pummeled its adversary.
The murky sea then dipped and out of the concave, a colossal black "sea serpent" burst from the whirlpool. In its mouth was a gold trident. The ocean swelled once more, juddered and was still, its hissy fit over as the sky cleared. The snake quickly slithered out of the water. The trident was then unceremoniously dropped on the sandy shore.
Albeit satisfied, the behemoth monster morphed back into Nasira. "That was close," she said to no one in particular.

As Tabs revealed himself from the foliage, a dark brow lifted on Perth's face. His slightly tensed features seemed to relax almost immediately. "Oh you..." He started before relaxing his shoulders. At the question he couldn't help but let a chuckle bubble up and out. "Sorry, I suppose I'm a little more jumper than usual. Getting back into the mindset in fighting and what not," He moved his right hand as he spoke. As if to further amplify what he was saying though he didn't need to.
Dark eyes looked back to the three legged beast's face after a moment, offering a small glimmer of an apology smile. "Sorry, didn't get you too bad did I? I can dry you off fully if you want." He offered.
The moment the sky grew dark however, it completely stole away Perthmail's attention in a heart beat. His head whipped towards the direction of the sea. Brows furrowing intensely as he studied the violent surf. Watching as it bobbed and heaved, throwing a 'hissy' fit. The moment the sea spat out Perthmail was quick to affirm himself on the sand so he wouldn't be pushed or knocked by the growing waves but in seconds it was over. A large sea serpent emerging and slithering onto the coast. "What in the gods names-"
He cut himself off as the serpent shifted into the woman overseer he had been interacting with only days ago. A large grin seeming to form onto his face. With a small movement of his hand he stole the water out of his clothes that soaked the fabric and casted it back to the sea. A very useful way to dry oneself, before he moved to go over to the necromancer. Taking a look at the Triton and then her. "I'm guessing you just pissed off someone pretty important by stealing that, huh Nasira?" He questioned before turning his attention back to Tabs. "Wait, you're the uh, reporter right?"

Tabs should have been glad he wasn’t faced with a confrontation, but all he could do was lower black lids halfway over his eyes. It appeared as if he was too annoyed to say anything. Which was just as good, because the brewing storm would have taken away from anything he might have said.
He was already prepared to jump as the tempest intensified, so as the waves crashed, Tabs leapt backwards. Once he was a few feet up, he stayed, floating over the ground. The ocean pounded the shore, throwing up fragments of water. Tabs could not hover too high, but he certainly wasn’t interested in staying grounded and having to face the full force of the waves. Spattered was better than soaked anyway.
When the turbulence stopped and the serpent appeared, a crack sounded from somewhere in Tabs’s neck. He wouldn’t say he was gearing up to retaliate if he had to, but he was gearing up to retaliate if he had to. That, however, wouldn’t have been needed. Tabs could remember faces and recognized Nasira as on his side. His hooves contacted wet sand as he landed a few feet away from the trident.
Tabs looked toward Perthmail, responding, “You might call me that.”
He took a step closer.
“What’s this artifact?”

"Mm-hmm." Nasira's dark mahogany eyes seemed to scrutinize the gentle turquoise waves. "I was lucky to get out of there in one piece," she admitted, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "You would not believe what's down there."
Nasira bent down to pick up a flat, round rock about the size of her palm. She meticulously placed her index finger against the edge of the stone. "I may have killed a mermaid." She bent her wrist all the way back and then snapped it forward to flick the rock against the surface of the water. The rock bounced twice before sinking to the bottom. "Hm." She picked up a seashell shard. "King Triton's trident. It once belonged to Poseidon," Nasira explained to Tabs. "It gives its wielder the ability to control the sea, including Atlantica. And it's going right in the royal treasury!"
The seashell piece bounced four times. "Score!"

The annoyed look on Tabs' face had not gone unnoticed and was going to be addressed when everything had suddenly changed. The thought was gone from Perthmail's mind as his attention almost entirely shifted to Nasira as she explained what the trident was. Dark brows raised, more than a little impressed by the nercomancer's feat. "No wonder the sea was pissed." He grumbled mostly to himself. He watched Nasira closely as she explained what happened, watching as she grabbed a rock and tried to skip it across the calm waters, and then a finally a shell.
As she 'scored', he could help but damn near grin ear to ear. "That was a pretty good one." He almost hummed in content. He glanced back at the trident before moving to look for a rock. Suddenly interested in the game. "I haven't really skipped stones since I was a little thing," He held up his right arm slightly, then leveled his hand with his hip as if to give a visual guide of how small he last was when he played skipping stones. "As for putting the trident in the royal treasury, I do hope it's secure enough. Don't need anyone getting their hands, paws, whatever on it." He commented before pausing.
"Ah ha!"
With that he picked up a stone, looking it over critically before he went to stand by Nasira's side. Giving it to her after a moment. "Here try that." He then turned his gaze upward to Tabs. "You wanna try?"

The abomination didn’t take his eyes off the trident for a while, hardly even aware that he might have been being rude. He leaned in, analyzing the object. Because he’d been watching Earth for a while, he was familiar with the most popular of mythologies and tales. Poseidon – yes, that was a figure he’d heard about before. Tabs brought his claws against his chest and tapped them together excitedly. It would probably be a long time before he could contain his joy at being a part of a world he loved so much.
Suddenly realizing a question had been directed at him, he stiffened. His claws remained close together, slightly guardedly. The faces he displayed were startled, though he gradually became less tense. Lifting his brows, he inched a little closer.
“I,” he uttered, “I suppose.”

“Skippin’ rocks, are we?”
The witch doctor seemingly stepped out of nowhere, and strode over to the small group of his peers, fingers curled around the orb-like head of his cane. He raised a brow at Tabs, who looked a little tensed up, judging by his claws.
“It ain’t that hard. Just find a flat rock, flat as you can get it, and then,” Facilier said, as he snatched up a flat piece of seashell, wrapping his forefinger around the curved edge of the shell,
“—you gotta stand sideways to the water, bend your knees, bend your wrist back, and throw!” Facilier exclaimed, as he released the shell. It managed to hop a couple times on the surface of the water, before sinking down a few feet before Nasira’s shell.
Did I really just…Jacques, you don’t have time for this…what ARE you thinking?
The witch doctor shook his head. Yes, he had souls to collect, but at the same time, his journey to Agrabah had been a long and tiring one, and he felt that he deserved some time to relax. That included mingling with his fellow Blackbloods.
The Loa could wait.
-----
“Leave it to my dear showoff of a sister to grab the trident of King Triton.”
A rather large cobra slithered out from the palm trees that hung over the beach, and made its way to Nasira’s side, before it increased in size, and transformed back into its usual form.
“I have to say Nasira,” Jafar said, eyeing the glowing golden trident, “that is quite the accomplishment. Once we learn how to wield it properly, we can expand across oceans!”
The grand vizier sneered, rubbing his hands together.
“That scoundrel of a street rat won’t know what hit him, or his fool of a father in law.” Jafar said, before looking over to the others. He remembered names, but not much else aside from that. To him, they were merely stepping stones to his eventual conquest of the world.
But then again, he knew Nasira would at least tell him to play nice.

Nasira's third projectile sank. That shell was lucky. Granted, the stone she used was probably all right, she guessed: the real problem was her own proficiency, or lack of it.
Perthmail handed her another stone. She smiled graciously at him and accepted it. "Thanks." She then faced the ocean sideways, her non-dominant side closest to the water's edge, and threw it. It bounced three times. "Not bad." Her smile faltered for a millisecond as she struggled to remember the last time she got to relax like this. She had spent so long trying to survive that she had nearly forgotten how to live.
"Leave it to my dear showoff of a sister to grab the trident of King Triton," Jafar sneered, jolting Nasira back to reality. While Facilier helped Tabs, Jafar went on to commend her for retrieving the trident. Though she was pleased Jafar liked the trident, something inside Nasira sank at the mention of Aladdin. Of course, he always camp up.
"We won't need the sea to drown him," Nasira promised. "We'll do it in his own blood."

It seemed like people were showing up in waves, almost like the ocean, Perthmail almost couldn't stop the grin that just stayed on his face. Almost bubbling with child like excitement with everyone around, the earlier training session completely melting away in his mind. He felt the smallest amount of disappointment at Jafar's words, focused on revenge as per usual. Right now was a time to relax, kick back, take a break away from the stress of the oncoming war. Gods knew they were going to need it when things seriously picked up.
At Tabs' tension, indicated by the tightening of his claws, Perthmail held his hands up just a bit. As if trying to show that it was alright, there wasn't much of a need to get tense. He wasn't sure if it worked or not though, but Tabs expression and tension seem to ease after a moment. A small shrug of Perth's shoulders occurred, as his grin softened into a smile as if continuing to try and calm the incident as much as possible. "Easy, friend. The game's pretty fun, simple too."
The demon mage was about to explain how to play when Dr.Facilier cut in. He had been so focused on Jafar he almost missed the doc's arrival. He quirked a brow watching the other, that bubbled excitement just growing again in his chest. Seemed like everyone wanted a small kick back. Good. As his gazed settled back on the nercomancer woman, he watched Nasira skip the rock he had given her across the water. His arms crossed over his chest, fingers gracing over the bright octopus tattoo that was on his arm.
Memories tumbled around in his head of the past, wondering where all his old crew members had ended up. Wondering if they were fairing well, had any of them started families? How much had the beaches back home changed? Did people noticed he was gone, or had they just completely forgotten about him already? His smile nearly disappeared at that, did anyone actually care that he wasn't there anymore?
Jesus, Perth just get depressed why don't you? He thought to himself critically in annoyance. A hand going up to the back of his neck, rubbing it over it, as if trying to soothe his tensions.
He tried to cast aside his thoughts, turning his attention back on Jafar. "Hey, I'm all for revenge but how about we take a few pegs back from it and just relax. It's a nice day, why not enjoy it before we have to surge into full out war," There was a slight pause. "Sir." The sir was added when he remembered he was talking to his superior. The last thing he wanted to do was piss him off, but he was sure even Jafar needed a break.
---------
Following not far behind Facilier and Jafar were Starrick and Mortaray. Mortaray being the first to emerge from the tree line, the skin walker's odd hues studied the current situation before moving to follow after Facilier. His steps were keep as light as he could muster, his form shifting from a wolf to a human with a low grunt of strain with the effort to do so. He had gotten use to the change but it always left him sore.
Once back into his human form, he soothed his hands over his clothes. Trying to get them to look less wrinkled in appearance before he took place to stand beside Facilier and Tabs. Pondering silently as the other skipped a rock across the water. Some part of him wondered what the point of this was, weren't they suppose to be training? Getting ready for a war?
Then again...
What did a little play hurt?
Mortaray couldn't help the sly smirk that played on his lips, this could definitely be a nice day to kick back and relax. Even though he wasn't fond of Perthmail, he had to agree that sometimes things needed to be a lot more lax. "Nice throw." He commented to the Voodoo doctor before drifting away from the two, to look around for anything interesting that may have washed up on the shore. Sure the trident had caught his attention but not by much.
----------
Starrick, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with this 'relaxation' time. A look of disgruntlement tugged at his features as he eyed the other's goofing off, playing around like bored children on a hot summer's day. He couldn't help but 'tsk' at the immaturity of the situation but the moment he had heard the rocks cascading across the gleaming blue's surface his interest was perked. Mismatched hues watched with curiosity, having never played games like this as a child. He was a bit at a lack for words.
He loomed in the shadows for a moment more before coming out of the foliage not far behind Jafar. He always seemed to be the man's shadow as of late, whether or not it annoyed him Starrick wasn't sure.
"What are they doing...?" He mumbled mostly to himself, eyes following as another rock was cast across the 'dark mirror's surface again by Nasira. He hesitated, fixing his tie and vest before almost shyly going over to the Voodoo King. "I...May you show me how you did that again?"

Tabs’s apprehension turned to curiosity. Still holding his claws against his chest, he plodded closer. His smiles were gone, but he seemed to be concentrating on learning. At least, he was for a little while, before a couple pairs of his eyes began to stray. Quite a few others came in. It was briefly a bit overwhelming as Tabs had to stretch his attention a few different ways: that was one thing having multiple heads was good for.
Since he was trying to take in as much as he could, he couldn’t take in everything in its entirety. Tabs stood awkwardly for a few moments, before flinching and lifting up his hands, curling his claws. He bent, digging in the sand and then picking up a round pebble. “Like this?”
Tabs flung the rock. It clacked against some of the boulders on the shore to his right.
His arm remained extended for a while afterward before Tabs resumed a normal standing pose, clearing his throat. He didn’t comment. Multiple pairs of red eyes wondered, scanning the coast. No doubt his notepad would have gotten wet, but he was interested if he’d be able to locate it again.
