Chaara
Known Aliases: Mother of Serpents
Rank: Assassin
Alignment: Rogues
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Personality: Being a python, Chaara is naturally a solitary creature. Despite that, however, she is not introverted but rather compassionate, cheerful and sassy. She has no need for companionship as she is not a social animal, but she certainly does not mind the company of others that are not on her diet and despite her intimidating presence, she is quite gentle, polite and motherly.
On the other hand, Chaara is also cunning and predatory. Especially while hunting, as she uses her hypnotic abilities to lure her prey close enough to devour them, using her seductive voice and staring with her eyes. However, her powers are limited to those with strong will, who are not easily entranced by her. That which makes her resort to evasion and fleeing. Her greatest fear is pain, thus she cannot risk attacking directly and mostly relies on her hypnosis against a potentially dangerous prey.
She is also very loyal to those whom she can trust and those who have earned her respect.
Backstory: Ever since Chaara hatched from her egg in the Seoni jungle in India, she has been on her own and relying on natural instincts for survival. Her early life was quite normal and simple, but as she grew older, her curiosities began to grow as well. She began to observe the lives of others around her in the jungle, although she was particularly fascinated with humans, who stood out from all other life and were a rare sight. At the same time, however, she felt intimidated by their foreign ways such as their use of tools and fire. It can be said that she had a fearful respect for them.
In her adolescence, Chaara's voice developed and became much more alluring and relaxing. She was able to use this trait to lure her prey near her, making them feel somewhat relaxed and drowsy. As well as hypnotizing her victims to sleep. Chaara practically fell in love with these new abilities and grew more cocky, resulting her using her powers recklessly and for her own amusement, regardless whether her victim is a part of her food chain or not. Unfortunately, her fun would only last for few days. Until she encountered a human hunter in the jungle. Her arrogance got the better of her and she believed that she could dominate anyone at that point, so she lured the curious human to her with her voice. But she would find out the hard way that her hypnosis are easily resisted by strong willpower, a trait which many intelligent beings have in common, including humans. As Chaara was baffled by the resistance, the hunter retaliated by beating her with his torch. Once he ignited it, he thrust it against her, causing her immense pain. Her screams got the attention of a young leopard, who saved her life by driving the hunter away. Thankful for this act, Chaara vowed to do the same for others in need, if she should encounter one who needs help. She also allowed the leopard to sleep in her coils for the night, as he needed a place to sleep.
Now Chaara remains mostly in solitude, promising herself that she would stay away from potential dangers and only retaliate when she is out of options. However, after her rescue, she had a change of heart. Her experience taught her discipline and humility, which had turned her into a compassionate and caring python.
