Personality: Eloquent and dignified, Bagheera counts himself among the most respected animals in the jungle, and excluding the elephants and Shere Khan, he perhaps is. He lives by the Law of the Jungle to a religious extent, detesting those who break it and seeing himself as something of a 'gatekeeper' of the Law, himself teaching it to the young wolves of the Seonee. He is very traditionalist in ways of thinking, and can take a while to adjust to the new.
Bagheera is patient, but with no tolerance for fools; fierce, but knows when to pick his fights; and firm, though he has a good heart and a strong code of ethics and morals. Personal tragedies in his past have left him with a hard exterior and a militant persona, but he has a soft spot for young animals, Mowgli above all others. After the experience with the mancub, he learned to have a more open-mind, and exposed a more emotional side to his personality, realizing just to what extents he would go to to protect those he cares about.
