Allan Cameron Kattz
Known Aliases: Kattz, Mr. Kattz, Al
Rank: Cuttthroat
Alignment: Outsider
Gender: Cis Male (He/Him)
Age: A few hundred, mentally late 40's
Personality:
In spite of his appearance, Kattz doesn’t have a particularly threatening personality as long as you get past his sheer size. This isn’t necessarily to say he’s a pushover; he has his moments of softness of course but is usually aware of his own strength and will use it to get his way if he wants to. In essence, Kattz is an artist; a man of refined taste and class – or so he likes to think. In fact, Kattz is a downright pretentious creature; an overdramatic director who believes his vision must be shared with the world. He certainly has talent, although his high and mighty attitude can be a turn-off. He certainly doesn’t have the mindset of a warrior. The werecat’s ruthless pursuit of his vision is about the only thing ruthless about him – unless he’s hunting down a prey item, as felines do. Although it can prove challenging to get him to outwardly show it, Kattz has a guardian instinct and will occasionally pick out individuals he wants to protect.
Backstory:
Kattz, like most in Halloween Town, has been around almost as long as Halloween has. Though, when it comes to making the holiday, this mean cat isn’t often up front and center. Oh sure, he can be scary, a real scream, like all of the undead, but he prefers a more… direct approach – as in director! No scares can happen without proper build up and staging after all. He’s an artist with a vision. Though his self-appointed status could be viewed as a threat to the Pumpkin King himself, Kattz just can’t compete with Jack’s popularity and charisma. It’s pathetic really.
In recent years, the feline has shown a more obvious inclination toward the capitalistic aspects of the holiday. Art is still important to him of course, but old Kattz has a long-lasting love affair with material wealth. The fact that Halloween is slowly reaching Christmas levels of commercialism has only tempted Kattz's greed further. The fact that he isn’t in charge of Halloween really is for the better. Still, this has made him bitter and reclusive. He really doesn’t have friends, not even amongst the other monsters. Kattz has taken to doing his own personal projects to cope; concocting horror tales for the ages and, meh, maybe once and while venturing out and scaring a human during the off-season.
While he is undead and therefore semi-immortal, Kattz felt threatened by the war. A strong enough sorcerer could depart a ghoul. He chose to align himself with a side mostly for protection. While, as a werecat, he can assume a humanlike form (in fact, under normal circumstances, he prefers this form), he hates humans. He views them as lesser than the undead. This is why he fell into line with the Outsiders, a predominantly animal group. He typically runs around in his feline form to avoid slander by the other Outsiders.
